Matthew 16:16-18
16) Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
17) Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
18) I also tell you, that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
Acts 2:41-47
41) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.
42) They continued steadfastly in the apostles‘ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
43) Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
44) All who believed were together, and had all things common.
45) They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.
46) Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
47) praising God, and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 5:12-14
12) By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon‘s porch.
13) None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honored them.
14) More believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.
Acts 6:7-7
7) The word of God increased and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly. A great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
1 Corinthians 1:1-2
1) Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2) to the assembly of God which is at Corinth; those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:
1 Corinthians 12:12-14
12) For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
13) For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink into one Spirit.
14) For the body is not one member, but many.
1 Corinthians 12:26-27
26) When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27) Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
Ephesians 1:17-23
17) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
18) having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19) and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
20) which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21) far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
22) He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the assembly,
23) which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Ephesians 2:19-22
19) So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
20) being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;
21) in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
22) in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
1 Timothy 3:14-15
14) These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly;
15) but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
