Matthew 11:28-30
28) "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
29) Take my yoke on you, and learn from me, for I am humble and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Mark 6:30-31
30) The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
31) He said to them, "You come apart into a desert place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
John 5:16-17,6:22-27,9:1-5,17:1-5
16) For this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the Sabbath.
17) But Jesus answered them, "My Father is still working, so I am working, too."
6) When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to be made well?"
Acts 20:28-38
28) Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.
29) For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30) Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
31) Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn‘t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.
32) Now, brothers, I entrust you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33) I coveted no one‘s silver, or gold, or clothing.
34) You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities, and to those who were with me.
35) In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.‘"
36) When he had spoken these things, he kneeled down and prayed with them all.
37) They all wept a lot, and fell on Paul‘s neck and kissed him,
38) sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. They brought him on his way to the ship.
Ephesians 4:28,6:5-9
28) Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
6) one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
Colossians 3:22-24
22) Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.
23) Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,
24) knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord, Christ.
1 Thessalonians 2:9-9,4:11-12
9) For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail. Working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
4) But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
2 Thessalonians 3:6-13
6) Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.
7) For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn‘t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
8) neither did we eat bread for nothing from any man‘s hand, but in labor and travail, working night and day, that we might not burden any of you;
9) not because we don‘t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
10) For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone will not work, neither let him eat."
11) For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don‘t work at all, but are busybodies.
12) Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13) But you, brothers, don‘t be weary in doing well.
