Romans 14:7-13
7) For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
8) For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord‘s.
9) For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10) But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11) For it is written, "‘As I live,‘ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.‘"
12) So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.
13) Therefore Let‘s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother‘s way, or an occasion of falling.
1 Corinthians 15:38-58
38) But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.
39) All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40) There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.
41) There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.
43) It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
44) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45) So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46) However that which is spiritual isn‘t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.
47) The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.
48) As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49) As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let‘s also bear the image of the heavenly.
50) Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can‘t inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
51) Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54) But when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
55) "Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?"
56) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58) Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord‘s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:1-10
1) For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.
2) For most assuredly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven;
3) if so be that being clothed we will not be found naked.
4) For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
5) Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.
6) Being therefore always of good courage, and knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;
7) for we walk by faith, not by sight.
8) We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
9) Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
10) For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Philippians 1:19-26
19) For I know that this will turn out to my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20) according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.
21) For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22) But if to live in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; then I don‘t make known what I will choose.
23) But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very far better.
24) Yet, to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.
25) Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,
26) that your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13) But we don‘t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don‘t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those who have fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15) For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.
16) For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God‘s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,
17) then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
18) Therefore comfort one another with these words.
