Matthew 24:29-35
29) But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30) and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
31) He will send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
32) "Now from the fig tree learn her parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
33) Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34) Most assuredly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished.
35) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Mark 8:34-38
34) He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them, "Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35) For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the gospel‘s will save it.
36) For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
37) For what should a man give in exchange for his life?
38) For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
Mark 9:42-50
42) Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43) If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
44) ‘where their worm doesn‘t die, and the fire is not quenched.‘
45) If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched --
46) ‘where their worm doesn‘t die, and the fire is not quenched.‘
47) If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,
48) ‘where their worm doesn‘t die, and the fire is not quenched.‘
49) For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
50) Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."
Luke 12:1-5
1) Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2) But there is nothing covered up, that will not be revealed, nor hidden, that will not be known.
3) Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers will be proclaimed on the housetops.
4) I tell you, my friends, don‘t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5) But I will warn you whom you shall fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
John 3:14-18
14) As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15) that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17) For God didn‘t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
18) He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn‘t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
John 5:24-30
24) Most assuredly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn‘t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
25) Most assuredly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God‘s voice; and those who hear will live.
26) For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself.
27) He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.
28) Don‘t marvel at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice,
29) and will come forth; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
30) I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don‘t seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.
John 14:1-6
1) "Don‘t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
2) In my Father‘s house are many mansions. If it weren‘t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3) If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4) Where I go, you know, and you know the way."
5) Thomas says to him, "Lord, we don‘t know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but by me.
John 17:20-26
20) Neither for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word,
21) that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.
22) The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;
23) I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.
24) Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25) Righteous Father, the world didn‘t know you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
26) I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them."
