Acts 7:51-60
51) "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.
52) Which of the prophets didn‘t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
53) You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn‘t keep it!"
54) Now when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.
55) But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56) and said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God!"
57) But they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed at him with one accord.
58) They threw him out of the city, and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59) They stoned Stephen, as he called on the Lord, saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my Spirit!"
60) He kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, "Lord, don‘t hold this sin against them!" When he had said this, he fell asleep.
Acts 8:1
1) Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.
2 Thessalonians 3:6-14
6) Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.
7) For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn‘t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
8) neither did we eat bread for nothing from any man‘s hand, but in labor and travail, working night and day, that we might not burden any of you;
9) not because we don‘t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
10) For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone will not work, neither let him eat."
11) For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don‘t work at all, but are busybodies.
12) Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13) But you, brothers, don‘t be weary in doing well.
14) If any man doesn‘t obey our word by this letter, note that man, that you have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
Hebrews 6:9-12
9) But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, though we speak like this,
10) for God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served to the saints, and still do serve them.
11) We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,
12) that you won‘t be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises.
2 Peter 2:1,18-22
1) But there also arose false prophets among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
18) For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;
19) promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for by whom a man is overcome, by the same is he also brought into bondage.
20) For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state has become worse with them than the first.
21) For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22) But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, "The dog turns to his own vomit again," and "the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire."
Revelation 2:8-12
8) "To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write: "The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:
9) "I know your oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
10) Don‘t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.
11) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes won‘t be hurt by the second death.
12) "To the angel of the assembly in Pergamum write: "He who has the sharp two-edged sword says these things:
Matthew 16:18
18) I also tell you, that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
