Genesis 11:1-9
1) The whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
2) It happened, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they lived there.
3) They said one to another, "Come, let‘s make brick, and burn them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
4) They said, "Come, let‘s build us a city, and a tower, whose top reaches to the sky, and let‘s make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth."
5) Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.
6) Yahweh said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.
7) Come, let‘s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another‘s speech."
8) So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city.
9) Therefore the name of it was called Babel, because Yahweh confused the language of all the earth, there. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.
Exodus 31:1-5
1) Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2) "Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3) and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4) to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5) and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship.
2 Chronicles 26:15
15) He made in Jerusalem engines, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and on the battlements, with which to shoot arrows and great stones. His name spread far abroad; for he was marvelously helped, until he was strong.
1 Corinthians 10:1-13
1) Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2) and were all baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3) and all ate the same spiritual food;
4) and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.
5) However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7) Neither be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."
8) Neither let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
9) Neither let us test the Lord, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
10) Neither grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
11) Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.
12) Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn‘t fall.
13) No temptation has taken you but such as man can bear. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:31
31) Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
