Numbers 15:37-40
37) Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
38) Speak to the children of Israel, and bid those who they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe of each border a cord of blue:
39) and it shall be to you for a fringe, that you may look on it, and remember all the commandments of Yahweh, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute;
40) that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
2 Samuel 11:2-5
2) It happened at evening, that David arose from off his bed, and walked on the roof of the king‘s house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look on.
3) David send and inquired after the woman. One said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
4) David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in to him, and he lay with her (for she was purified from her uncleanness); and she returned to her house.
5) The woman conceived; and she sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
2 Samuel 12:1-13
1) Yahweh sent Nathan to David. He came to him, and said to him, "There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
2) The rich man had very many flocks and herds,
3) but the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and raised. It grew up together with him, and with his children. It ate of his own food, drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was to him like a daughter.
4) A traveler came to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man who had come to him, but took the poor man‘s lamb, and dressed it for the man who had come to him."
5) David‘s anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As Yahweh lives, the man who has done this is worthy to die!
6) He shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity!"
7) Nathan said to David, "You are the man. This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
8) I gave you your master‘s house, and your master‘s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that would have been too little, I would have added to you many more such things.
9) Why have you despised the word of Yahweh, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10) Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.‘
11) This is what Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12) For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.‘"
13) David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against Yahweh." Nathan said to David, "Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die.
Job 31:1-8
1) "I made a covenant with my eyes, How then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
2) For what is the portion from God above, And the heritage from the Almighty on high?
3) Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, And disaster to the workers of iniquity?
4) Doesn‘t he see my ways, And number all my steps?
5) "If I have walked with falsehood, And my foot has hurried to deceit
6) (Let me be weighed in an even balance, That God may know my integrity);
7) If my step has turned out of the way, If my heart walked after my eyes, If any defilement has stuck to my hands,
8) Then let me sow, and let another eat; Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
Matthew 5:27-30
27) "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;‘
28) but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29) If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. For it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.
30) If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna.
1 Corinthians 6:12-20
12) "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
13) "Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods," but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14) Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.
15) Don‘t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Will I then take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? Certainly not!
16) Or don‘t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, "The two," says he, "will become one flesh."
17) But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
18) Flee sexual immorality. "Every sin that a man does is outside the body," but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
19) Or don‘t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,
20) for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God‘s.
James 1:13-15
13) Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can‘t be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
14) But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed.
15) Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.
1 John 2:15-16
15) Don‘t love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father‘s love isn‘t in him.
16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn‘t the Father‘s, but is the world‘s.
