The scriptures below are from the WEB Bible.
Psalm 78:1-8
1) Hear my law, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.
2) I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old,
3) Which we have heard and known, Our fathers have told us.
4) We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of Yahweh, His strength, and his wondrous works that he has done.
5) For he established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which he commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;
6) That the generation to come might know, even the children who should be born; Who should arise and tell their children,
7) That they might set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep his commandments,
8) And might not be as their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that didn‘t make their hearts loyal, Whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
Matthew 5:17-20
17) Don‘t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn‘t come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18) For most assuredly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.
19) Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
20) For I tell you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
2 Peter 3:14-18
14) Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent to be found in peace, without blemish and blameless in his sight.
15) Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you;
16) as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things. In those are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unsettled twist, as they do also to the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17) You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware lest, being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.
18) But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
