1 Corinthians 10:19-22 19) What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20) But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don‘t desire that you would have communion with demons. 21) You can‘t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can‘t both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. 22) Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
1 Corinthians 10:16-18 16) The cup of blessing which we bless, isn‘t it a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn‘t it a communion of the body of Christ? 17) Seeing that we, who are many, are one bread, one body; for we all partake of the one bread. 18) Consider Israel after the flesh. Don‘t those who eat the sacrifices have communion with the altar?
Acts 2:41-42 41) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls. 42) They continued steadfastly in the apostles‘ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
Matthew 26:27 27) He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, "Drink all of it,
1 Corinthians 11:23-34 23) For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread. 24) When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me." 25) In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me." 26) For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord‘s death until he comes. 27) Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord‘s cup in an unworthy manner, will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28) But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. 29) For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn‘t discern the Lord‘s body. 30) For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep. 31) For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn‘t be judged. 32) But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. 33) Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait one for another. 34) But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, that your coming together may not be to judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.
