Romans 12:2
2) Don‘t be fashioned according to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Matthew 13:3-13
3) He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, "Behold, the farmer went forth to sow.
4) As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.
5) Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn‘t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth.
6) When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.
7) Others fell on thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them:
8) and others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times, some sixty, and some thirty.
9) He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
10) The disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?"
11) He answered them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.
12) For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn‘t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.
13) Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don‘t see, and hearing, they don‘t hear, neither do they understand.
Matthew 13:18-23
18) "Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.
19) When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and doesn‘t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.
20) What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it;
21) yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
22) What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
23) What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most assuredly bears fruit, and brings forth, some one hundred times, some sixty, some thirty."
Matthew 9:16-25
16) No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
17) Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
18) While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshipped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
19) Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
20) Behold, a woman, who had an issue of blood for twelve years, came behind him, and touched the tassels of his garment;
21) for she said within herself, "If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."
22) But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
23) When Jesus came into the ruler‘s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
24) he said to them, "Make room, because the young lady isn‘t dead, but sleeping." They laughed him to scorn.
25) But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the young lady arose.
