1 Peter 1:18-19
18) knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,
19) but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, the blood of Christ;
1 Peter 1:23-25
23) having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
24) For, "All flesh is like grass, And all of man‘s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
25) But the Lord‘s word endures forever." This is the word of good news which was preached to you.
Philippians 2:4-6
4) each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
5) Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6) who, existing in the form of God, didn‘t consider it robbery to be equal with God,
Philippians 3:14-15
14) I press on toward the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15) Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, this God will also reveal that to you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
5) Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don‘t lean on your own understanding.
6) In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 16:1-9
1) The plans of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.
2) All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; But Yahweh weighs the motives.
3) Commit your deeds to Yahweh, And your plans shall succeed.
4) Yahweh has made everything for its own end -- Yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5) Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Yahweh: They shall assuredly not be unpunished.
6) By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for. By the fear of Yahweh men depart from evil.
7) When a man‘s ways please Yahweh, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8) Better is a little with righteousness, Than great revenues with injustice.
9) A man‘s heart plans his course, But Yahweh directs his steps.
Proverbs 3:5-12
5) Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don‘t lean on your own understanding.
6) In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
7) Don‘t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
8) It will be health to your body, And nourishment to your bones.
9) Honor Yahweh with your substance, With the first fruits of all your increase:
10) So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
11) My son, don‘t despise Yahweh‘s discipline, Neither be weary of his reproof:
12) For whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; Even as a father the son in whom he delights.
James 4:13-17
13) Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow let‘s go into this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and get gain."
14) Whereas you don‘t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
15) For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that."
16) But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.
17) To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn‘t do it, to him it is sin.
