Matthew 21:1-11
1) When they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethsphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2) saying to them, "Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them, and bring them to me.
3) If anyone says anything to you, you will say, ‘The Lord needs them,‘ and immediately he will send them."
4) All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
5) "Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, Humble, and riding on a donkey, On a colt, the foal of a donkey."
6) The disciples went, and did just as Jesus commanded them,
7) and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.
8) A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.
9) The multitudes who went before him, and who followed, cried, "Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"
10) When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this?"
11) The multitudes said, "This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."
Zechariah 9:9
9) Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout, daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your king comes to you; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt the foal of a donkey.
Psalm 118:22-28
22) The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner.
23) This is Yahweh‘s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.
24) This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
25) Save us now, we beg you, Yahweh; Yahweh, we beg you, now send prosperity.
26) Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh! We have blessed you out of the house of Yahweh.
27) Yahweh is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.
28) You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.
Luke 4:3-12
3) The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."
4) Jesus answered him, saying,"It is written, ‘Man will not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.‘"
5) The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited world in a moment of time.
6) The devil said to him, "I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.
7) If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours."
8) Jesus answered him, "Get behind me Satan! For it is written, ‘You will worship the Lord your God, and him only will you serve.‘"
9) He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,
10) for it is written, ‘He will give his angels charge concerning you, to guard you;‘
11) and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, Lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.‘"
12) Jesus answering, said to him, "It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.‘"
