Isaiah 61:1-3 1) The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to those who are bound; 2) to proclaim the year of Yahweh‘s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 3) to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.
1 John 4:4-6 4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 5) They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them. 6) We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn‘t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Mark 10:46-52 46) They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road. 47) When he heard that it was Jesus, the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, "Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!" 48) Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out the more a great deal, "You son of David, have mercy on me!" 49) Jesus stood still, and said, "Call him." They called the blind man, saying to him, "Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you." 50) He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus. 51) Jesus answered him, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "Rhabboni, that I may see again." 52) Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your faith has made you well." Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Isaiah 44:21-22 21) Remember these things, Jacob, and Israel; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: Israel, you shall not be forgotten by me. 22) I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.
