Matthew 5:13-16
13) You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, what will it be salted with? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
14) You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill can‘t be hid.
15) Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a bushel basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.
16) Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
John 1:9
9) The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:5-8
5) You are all sons of light, and sons of the day. We don‘t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
6) so then let‘s not sleep, as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober.
7) For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunken are drunken in the night.
8) But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
